Herbs have been used for centuries to treat a variety of illnesses, and herbal infusions are a great way to enjoy the benefits of various medicinal plants and herbs. Unlike black teas, herbal infusions are caffeine free and offer many health benefits, depending on the various ingredients used. The infusions are brewed in the same way as tea; however, they taste better without milk. Adding honey or Ayurvedic sugar can enhance the taste. These herbal infusions are made from wild harvested and organically grown herbs.
Bring water to boil, turn off heat, add 1 tea bag per cup and let steep for 5 minutes or longer. Cover the pot or cup with a lid to preserve the essential oils of the infusion. Serve plain, or with SOS Organics gur shakkar. Tastes very refreshing served with lemon and or ginger. A great summer drink when served chilled.
