COLLECTIVE WISDOM

Gandhiana is primarily driven by a group of tribal farmers living and farming near Dahanu, a pictursque little township  on the Western Coast of India.

Barely 125 km North of the bustling city of Mumbai, Dahanu has been declared as an ecologically sensitive region. The farmers here have formed a self help group to collectively practice natural farming.

They have been receiving active support from a neighbourhood school called Tamarind Tree which has been educating young children and equipping them with life skills.
